Heating oil

Heating oil is a new type of heating oil based on used motor and industrial oils.

The technology for the regeneration of used oils of automotive, agricultural equipment, as well as enterprises of the Ministry of Industry of the Republic of Belarus in order to obtain liquid mixed (furnace) fuel.

The developed technology is the result of continuing work on the implementation of the state policy of the Republic of Belarus in the field of energy saving, the main goal of which is to increase the energy independence and security of the country by increasing the share of local fuel and energy resources.

The raw material for obtaining new types of liquid mixed fuels is oil waste, subject to disposal. In this case, these are used industrial, transmission, hydraulic, motor and modern automotive oils - mineral and synthetic oils.

On the basis of regenerated oils, new samples of heating oils have been created that are not inferior in their fuel characteristics to similar fuels from petroleum feedstock. Oil regeneration includes physical and chemical treatment, as a result of which suspended and dissolved foreign substances, aging products, and additives are almost completely removed from oils.

Distinctive features of the technology for producing furnace composite fuel are:

1. Preliminary deep purification of waste oils used as the main component.

2. Pre-treatment of raw materials provides a lower sulfur content and a lower pour point of the fuel.

3. The  lower calorific value of the obtained heating oil is 1.5 times higher than that of the analogue produced.

The resulting samples of furnace fuels are not inferior in their fuel characteristics to similar fuels from petroleum feedstock and can be used in existing boiler plants and process furnaces to produce heat and/or electricity.

The economic effect of using new heating oil is ensured through the use of unsold waste that poses an environmental hazard, as well as the import substitution of fuel and energy resources.

The developed technology solves environmental problems associated with the elimination of unsafe used motor and industrial oils polluting the atmosphere and the earth by cleaning and processing them with subsequent disposal by incineration. The production of composite heating oil does not create an additional environmental burden on the environment.
