Purpose:
The concentrate is applicable for anticorrosive treatment of steel surfaces before cold deformation processes such as punching, stretch forming, roll-forming etc. as well as for anticorrosive protection of parts and items between the processes when in storage. The concentrate is recommended for the replacement of the phosphatic bath based on zinc phosphate

Used In:

  • machine-building
  • instrument-making

Technical characteristics of the concentrate and the phosphate coating produced from it:

Appearance

Transparent liquid

Density at 20 °C, g/cm3 1.45–1.55
Concentration, g/l 90–110
Common acidity, a.u., points 55–70
Free acidity, a.u., points 5–15
Working temperature, °C 40–60
Treatment time, min 10–45
Coating mass, g/m2 10–25
Corrosive stability (Akimov test), min 5–25

 Safety requirements:
The concentrate is a hazardous substance. It is necessary to work in rubber gloves and eye protectorsStorage:

  • in specified by technical conditions closed container at the temperature not lower than 10 °C
  • the storage warranty period is 2 years from the production date

Advantages:

  • the best coatings protective characteristics are obtained on items made from steel and cast iron
  • sludge formation decrease by a factor of 6–7 in comparison with the zinc phosphate coating
  • cost reduction by a factor of 5 in comparison with the zinc phosphate coating
  • consumption reduction by 50 % in comparison with analogue substances
  • stability during storage and phosphate treatment
  • improvement of the ecological properties of the phosphate treatment due to the reduction of the amount of sludge
  • improvement the operator’s working conditions because the operation of solution preparation is no longer required
  • simplicity of equipment
  • technologies of phosphating concentrate application for corrosion inhibition are material saving and resource saving

Implementation:

The technology has been introduced at the Industrial Enterprise MTZ, Gomselmash plant and many more machine building manufacturers.
Forms of cooperation:Signing a contract to produce the concentrate
