Thesis title: Controlled radical polymerization and copolymerization of styrene with maleic anhydride in the presence of iodine. Current research activity, main achievements:
  • polymer design and synthesis including controlled cationic polymerization, controlled radical polymerization, polymerization kinetics and mechanisms;
  • available, cheap and efficient catalytic systems based on complexes of AlCl3 (EtAlCl2 and iBuAlCl2) with ethers for the synthesis of polyisobutylene with a high content of exo-olefinic end groups - a key intermediate for the preparation of additives in motor oils and fuels have been proposed;
  • method of syntheses of amphiphilic block-copolymers from styrene and maleic anhydride.
